Sofia Scialoja
Associate Researcher
Sofia Scialoja is a PhD researcher in Transnational Governance at Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa) and Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (Pisa).
Her current work revolves on African foreign policy (focusing on South Africa, Ethiopia and Senegal), African agencies and African international positioning in the global order. She holds a master degree in political theory from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris, and a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Milan. She worked for three years at the OECD (Paris), at the Development Centre and Sahel and West Africa Club, and for six months in the Senegalese public administration (DER/FJ – Dakar).
She authored several articles on Africa’s IR, and sometimes publishes press articles on African affairs in Italian newspapers, such as il manifesto. She used to collaborate with the online magazine Le Grand Continent. She used She is from Rome.
