Metin Koca

Metin Koca works as a European Research Council postdoctoral researcher at Istanbul Bilgi University, Turkey. Koca received his Ph.D. in Social and Political Sciences from the European University Institute, Italy, in January 2020. Koca is the author of the monograph “Tracing Cultural Change in Turkey’s Experience of Democratization: Unexpected Dialogues on Intolerance” (London: Routledge, 2023). As a Jean Monnet Scholar in “Justice, Freedom and Security”, Koca earned a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2013). He is interested in the study of cultural change and reproduction, the politics of tolerance, recognition, and difference.
