In the aftermath of the Gaza ceasefire, Professor Luigi Narbone warned that the region is facing not only unprecedented physical devastation but also a dangerous political vacuum.

He began the interview by stating that the situation in Gaza is dramatic, with an estimated 80,000 to 90,000 dead and the territory reduced to rubble. He highlighted the enormous scale of destruction and humanitarian suffering, while expressing cautious hope that humanitarian aid will now be able to enter more freely.

Professor Narbone argued that international reconstruction efforts and the disarmament of Hamas will fail without meaningful political reform. He warned that without a genuine political process and inclusive Palestinian governance, reconstruction alone will not prevent future instability.
