Meraf Villani is an Associate Researcher at the Mediterranean Platform of the Luiss School of Government, where she contributes to the “Africa Nexus” initiative. Her research interests focus on the relationships between Africa, Europe, and Italy, with a strong commitment to fostering dialogue and understanding across these areas.
Meraf is also the coordinator of the IDIAF project (Institute for Italy-Africa Dialogue) at the Treccani Institute, she works on initiatives aimed at strengthening cultural and geopolitical connections between Italy and the African Continent.
She is the author of several articles on African geopolitics, contributing to the debate on Africa’s evolving role in the world. She has also moderated conferences for renowned platforms and events such as Africa Rivista, CODEWAY, and Africa e Affari.
Meraf also regularly presents books by African writers and Africanist scholars, promoting their voices and perspectives on the continent.
She holds a degree in Law and Second Level Master degree in “International Public Affairs”.
