On 7 March 2025, our Director Luigi Narbone, interviewed by Euronews, shared insights on Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a global mediator, particularly in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

In his remarks, Narbone highlighted the symbolic and strategic importance of Riyadh hosting key international negotiations. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia’s ability to maintain strong ties with diverse global actors—ranging from the GCC to BRICS and Western powers—positions it as a unique diplomatic broker.

He also underlined that hosting such talks reinforces Saudi Arabia’s long-term ambition for lasting international recognition, much like Switzerland’s traditional role in global diplomacy.
