On 18/01/2024 Fanpage published an interview with Mediterranean Platform director. Prof. Luigi Narbone spoke about the impact of the prolonged conflict in Gaza on the broader Middle East region, focusing in particular on the aftermath of the US and UK bombings in Yemen and the Houthi response.   
  
Prof Narbone also reflected on the ongoing mediation efforts, stressing the need to keep channels of communication open between the parties and to harness the interests of some countries, especially in the Gulf, in supporting a de-escalation process.
