On 10/01/2024, Prof. Narbone was invited by Rai1- TG1 Unomattina to comment on the increasing Houthi attacks in the Red Sea and how these episodes risk damaging the global maritime sector.

In his speech, Prof Narbone highlighted the growing concern over the Houthi attacks on international ships heading for the Suez Canal, which plays a key strategic role in the economic relations between Europe and Asia. During the interview, Prof Narbone attempted to contextualise the Houthi strategy in relation to both the internal situation in Yemen and the war in Gaza and concluded his intervention with an overview of the diplomatic positioning of the Gulf States in relation to these events.
